Weddings are no longer just about dinner and a dance floor. More and more couples are choosing creative entertainment options that make their day personal, relaxing, and unforgettable. Whether you're getting married in the Netherlands or abroad, these original ideas will add a healthy dose of fun and excitement to your wedding day or weekend getaway.
1. Silent disco under the stars
It needs little explanation. A silent disco under the stars, who wouldn't want that? Perfect for outdoor weddings or venues with noise restrictions. An added bonus: guests will also have a cozy head gadget.
2. Pizza Food Truck or Pasta Bar
A pizza oven on wheels or an Italian pasta corner instantly creates a cozy atmosphere. Ideal for a relaxed atmosphere after the ceremony or during evening drinks. As an added bonus, you can let guests choose their own toppings or write personalized pizza names on a chalkboard menu.
3. Champagne wall or cocktail station
Make the first drink a real eye-catcher. A champagne wall, a prosecco bicycle, or a cocktail bar always works and creates a different atmosphere than a waitress arriving with a tray full of drinks.
4. Live painter or illustrator
Let an artist capture your wedding on canvas live, as the day unfolds. The result: a unique work of art full of emotion and atmosphere. A little different from a traditional wedding photoshoot. It's also fun to combine this with a live illustration of guests as a thank-you gift!
5. Tarot corner or mini-spiritual experience
More and more couples are adding a spiritual touch to their celebration. A tarot card reader, an astrology corner, or even a mini breathwork session offers a special, peaceful break during an eventful day.
6. Mini outdoor cinema
Transform the evening (perfect for the day after the wedding, for example) into an open-air cinema with your love story, video messages, or favorite movie. Set up blankets, popcorn, and cozy lights. Romantic and relaxing.
7. Vintage photo booth
Not your standard photo booth with props, but a Polaroid bar or vintage van converted into a mini-studio. Let guests paste their photos in a guest book or take them home.
8. Campfire & marshmallow bar
After the party, relax around the fire with a blanket, acoustic music and marshmallows. Perfect for a wedding in nature or on the beach. It adds that extra touch of intimacy.
9. 🪩 Glitter bar or flower crown station
Let guests decorate themselves for the party: glitter makeup, flower crowns, or mini tattoos. Especially popular for festival weddings or boho themes.
10. Game corner or wedding games
From giant Jenga to pétanque or beer pong with wine, it breaks the ice and ensures healthy battle. A beach volleyball match is also highly recommended!
